<![CDATA[ACS(I) Express vs Victoria vs RVH]]>Dear all,


SPERS results are out and my DS has a choice for the above 3 schools.

I would greatly appreciate any comments on these schools regarding commitment of teachers, peer influence, academic results etc

Parents whose boys are in ACS (I) O’level, are your boys happy there ?
After reading thru tons of threads, is it true that most resources are spent on IB students? Are chances to enter IB yr3 slim?

Pardon my ignorance, but what are the advantages of slogging thru HMT in
a SAP sch?

I think it’s rather difficult to transfer into a popular school at the end of year 2, even if there’s DSA for it. You’ll have to demonstrate exceptional abilities and sterling results for Year 1 & 2.

Thx, we r in Shanghai. We decided on VS (1st) and ACS (2nd - slight tinge of re**** now)
RVH is too far and besides, it is a SAP school and have to take entrance test.

Do you have any idea if it is easy to transfer school at the end of Sec2?

Jtoh, if taking Spers, concentrate on eng vocab.

Congrats Zappie, these are all very good schools!
If it was my choice, it will be between Victoria and RVH since it was \"said\" that ACS focus more on IB. You may also wish to consider the distance from your home.

I am also planning for my boy to take sper exam in 2 years time, hope his result will be as good as your DS. Can I know which country were you based before returning to Singapore?
