<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><rss xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:content="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/" xmlns:atom="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom" version="2.0"><channel><title><![CDATA[Tablet application for assessment books]]></title><description><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/1166211/1/.html">http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/1166211/1/.html</a><br /><br /><br />SINGAPORE : Students no longer need to lug assessment books around anymore, thanks to a new tablet application called Go-easel.<br /><br />It stands for \"Go e-Assessments and e-Learning\".<br /><br />It is the first tablet application to provide access to over 100 assessment books on Apple iPad and Android-based tablets. <br /><br />It comes with auto-marking, model answers and score analysis to help parents monitor their children's performance more effectively.<br /><br />For students, it means they can work on the move.<br /><br />The application, which was unveiled on Friday by Popular Holdings when it opened its BookFest, can be downloaded free at the Apple App store or at <a href="http://www.go-easel.com">http://www.go-easel.com</a> for Android users.<br /><br />Chairman of Popular Holdings, Chou Cheng Ngok, said Go-easel is in line with the education system's move towards more e-learning.<br /><br />He said: \"Ultimately, they want to transform the printed books into multimedia; in time to come, as they say, the emphasis will be on the tablet. But I have yet to try out their go-easel.<br /><br /><br />Still prefer the paper and pen.
