I think it is a combination of factors that contribute to a person’s success . and i think the family guidance n influence is key .

Take your time to google or get info from parenting magazines and you will find it. If he’s interested in science, go to science camps…etc

In my daughter’s case, she was with Mindedge in Sec3 and was very motivated. Her grades improved within 1 term and I was so impressed, I send a thank you email to the centre.

But, 2 terms later, her grades are back to before. And now that she’s in JC, the centre didn’t even have the decency to call and ask how she fared in her Os.

In short, they’re only interested in your money. So, spend wisely. Must admit though that some skills like note-taking have stayed with her.

There is also a similar one run by Adam Khoo. I was told, Adam was trained by Ernest previously. If the objective is to improve a child’s motivation, I have mixed feeings about all of them - some told me the "effect" lasted less than 1 year, therefore you need to go for "refresher" to re-motivate again. Best to check around with people who has gone through - that’s what i did.
