<![CDATA[Dunman High and Victoria]]>Hi,


My son scored 262 in the PSLE.
We are Malaysians and stayed in the east. We are considering Dunman High and Victoria.

Dunman High - SAP school and co-ed
Victoria - government school and single-sex

We heard Dunman High has a lot more girls than boys, up to the ratio of 2:1. Any person can confirm this?

Kids nowadays are different from our generation. We are afraid that he may get distracted by bgr stuff.

He is active and his preference is Victoria.

Any body can provide further input to the two schools?

The P made a speech this yr that \"we take only few years to reach the standard/performance of NJC A level batch,
Where the latter took a longer period to attain it\".
(though i am not too sure which category of percentage he was referring to).

My 2nd gal will also be joining yours next year (or rather on 22/12). I am sure your gal will enjoy DHS as I kept hearing from my elder daughter (in Yr 3 next year) that DHS is awesome and she really enjoyed going to school.

I would say 99.99% chance. DHS's past COP hovers between 257 and 260 and this year should drop slightly due to VS and Cedar IP programme.

my opinion is BGR better than BBR. ha.

anyway, both schools are of long history and the school culture are also long standing.

Dunman was a Chinese school so they are more Chinese (language, culture, values). It is said that Dunman students are kiasu and they focus on studies.

Victoria is a more well-rounded boys school. Besides studies, they're also sporty, etc. Boys are generally well-mannered and sociable.

if his preference is Victoria, why not?
