<![CDATA[Amazing Star Montessori House]]>Hi amazing star montessori choa chu kang branch, yes i can feedback but not too sure abt greenridge br. Both my kids are in the cck br and their worksheets and syllabus are good. they really push even at nursery level with lots of worksheets and hands on learning. They also have phonics. my dd is in n1 and son in k1. my son has spelling every week for english and chinese. if u are talking abt play and learn type for ur kids maybe thsi is not a good one. but if u are the kiasu parents must have lots of learning and worksheets then this will be the place. cck br teachers are alright but greenridge u might wanna go trial 1st.

Bad experience
1) Parents were force to buy 2 kg Birthday cake. Reason is because the remaining cake will be given as a snack to all students in the school. (Shouldn’t the school be serving too much sugary stuff and this is the aunty job to prepare snack instead of using cake as a substitute.

2) every month there is cases of HFMD.
The recent month they have at least 10 cases of HFMD in a month.

3) a few times my son was kick on his eye area and was only informed when I pick him up and ask the teacher.

Turned over rate very high. Teachers have been changing. As compare 3 years back. Standard have dropped a lot.

Something bad happened to my child at that centre. Decided to withdraw my child immediately.

My son is first time on full day facility and much has been emphasized to the centre about his ability adapting to the environment. They promise they always communicate to the parents every week but I do not get it. First day of school, I found out from the form teacher he was on used mattress which was paid beforehand. Then, my helper told me his uniform was used to wrapped around his urinated underpant and kept in his school bad without any plastic bag. I did a sneak peek on my son. Teacher was calling for the kids reminding them to drink up their water. My son’s bottle was emptied. I requested for the teacher to fill up a little water for him and it was not done. Then, my son came back with a slightly dirty face (dried mucus on it). During my observation, I did not noticed any tissue around. hah… I gently feedbacked to one of the teacher and she ended up defensive and argued with me, putting blame on me saying I should provide plastic bags in his bag which my helper exclaimed back that there was more than one she prepared. Terrible!!

I personally find teachers @Amazing Star Greenridge friendly & caring.
Childcare clean and discipline very good.

My kids have been with them for 3yrs.

School fees ~$480 after subsidises, not sure if they have increased their fees for new kiddies.

Ubi branch recently got 5 + 1 case of HFMD and my child happen to be the 6th child, all from infant care.

Monday 15 july I realised very few child came but did not ask ,then 16july evening I pick my child then they attached a letter saying hfmd cases found.
I feel that the teachers should alert us earlier when we send them to school.
My son was the 3rd one to get it. I call up on Mon morn (15 Jul) saying that we suspect he got it and the chance is high as blister started to come out already. I also got the information from the principal that there is 2 confirm case on the 15th. It took them so long to send out this letter ie 16 Jul.
In a way, I blame the childcare for not informing earlier as they already suspected a case on Fri (12 Jul) yet the teacher shouted at me. Anyway I had stopped the infant care. My son was there for 2 weeks and got this disease cannot image what will happen to him if continue to be there.
