One difference is that entry fee would be heavily subsidized by school if registered via school.<br /><br /><br />one parent told me that although chess might not be offically used as a domain for DSA, there was once a girl who did successfully apply for DSA using chess. Also heard a Weiqi DSA case. I brought my ds down for assessment and he is qualified for the intermediate level. If your ds know how to play, you can bring him down (bishan cc branch) for assessment to see which level is suitable for him. But call them up for the time u should go down first.
