For those who drive peak hours, they stand to earn more. There are some who only drive during peak hours. It looks like comfort is joining too. Grab drivers earn commission while we passengers earn points.

so far most of the grab drivers are pleasant...we took a grab home last night. it is a red cab...dont know which company :stompfeet: almost puked at the end of the 5 minute ride :sick: he was heading straight so fast and suddenly the GPS told him to turn right...he slowed down immediately and turned right :mad: after that, i told him going straight is still possible.

grab share is for 1-2 people...more than 2 passengers, you would have to go for just grab. grab share is slightly cheaper than just grab. when you take grab during off peak, it's also cheaper too. but do give yourself more time when calling grab during off peak. i've experienced a few times when the drivers don't want to take the call.
when the weather is so hot and if it's just myself and son, we take grab share. it's definitely cheaper than taking a cab.

haven’t taken uber…esp uberpool.
if it’s just daughter and myself, we will take grabshare since the driver can only take another rider.
wondering how long this grab thing will last. taxis are bleeding and i don’t think grab can survive if there are no promotions. just hope it will last for a long time to come since i dislike taking taxis and our MRT willl never be world class at the rate it breaks down.

I am happy they reduce the 35% down to 25% since I benefit somewhat. I am not much affected by the other changes. Speaking to taxi drivers nowadays, they are a stressed lot. They have to meet the daily rental before they can earn. Some argue that private sector working OT got 2 times or more times of income compared to normal hours. Also prices increase so much and fuel cost etc… plus inflation. Somewhat agreed with that but then again all these costs are passed on to passengers who are already complaining about rising cost of living - transport is one of them! But never will you see the main taxi company lowering rental to help - each year reporting more and more profits. I think they should not do that, already people are so pissed they still report the profits so proudly!
