Been to a specialist and did endoscopy and colonoscopy. Diagnosed with acute gastritis - that was about a month back. Now the pain still there - on and off. Is it normal for gastritis to last so long? I’ve searched google - and found other people in other countries having similar symptoms. But what about here in S’pore? I asked my friends - those with gastric prob say theirs recover in a couple of days.

I was on 'omeprezole' the very first time but it worked only for a while. Then it doesnt seem to work much. It's always like one day I feel better, then the next day the pain came back. Then the pain will go off for another two days, and cycle repeats. So I'm not sure if the sores in my stomach actually heal and new ones form or are those the same ones. I have made another appointment to see the specialist and will see what he says.

Verysuperkiasu

Reply to Gastritis on Fri, 09 Dec 2011 10:23:34 GMT

I have reflux too but never had gastric pains.
