I tolerated for a few weeks and then terminated her. My DD was slow but I will not have insults directed at a 6year old because they are not as quick as other children.

So who is stupid? Einstein or the person calling Einstein stupid?

No need to get worked up when someone calls your girl stupid. Just prove the person wrong. Then one day many years later when your girl has made a significant achievement, you can announce to the world that your girl was called stupid by this person.

If I did not recall incorrectly, there was this episode in spongebob squarepants where one of the characters said \"the action of the student is the result of the teacher\".

My DS , when he was in P5, actually said that to his math teacher when she chided him.
She told him to stand straight and not sloppily when she was scolding him and DS actually said he was following her example.

The math teacher was hysterical when she called me.

When DS scored A star for math in his PSLE, he said the same thing to this same math teacher when she congratulated him, and this time she was smiling widely!

When the kids get older, they will meet all kinds of people and they must learn not to be bothered nor feel bruised by it. We won’t be with them 24/7. They need to know there are such people around and situations do not fall in place nicely for us. That’s life.

I complained to the boss when one make-up lesson teacher at my DS' enrichment centre told my son his Chinese was \"No good\" without any further encouragement. My son, then 5yo, bawled in class as he felt really miserable.


It is not that we are protective, but at such a young age, it is not good to give labels to a kid. I told the boss, even as an adult, I am sure he (that teacher) would be sad if his boss said his work was \"no good\" in such a direct manner.

Yah, sack the piano teacher and get a more patient one.
