<![CDATA[Chinese Enrichment centre for secondary school student]]>Hi ksp,


Appreciate it if someone can recommend a good chinese tuition centre for secondary students.

I know for primary schools, there are many like berries, tien tsien, Wang learning, jiang etc.No clue what is the good one for secondary.Can someone please advice.

My son who is currently in Secondary one dislikes Chinese and has very short concentration span especially if he does not have any interest in the things that he is doing. As such he did not do well in his Chinese.

I am looking for a Chinese tuition Centre which conduct lesson in a more lively and light-heartened manner so as to increase his interest in learning Chinese. Does anyone has any recommendation? Preferably in Hougang/kovan/ serangoon/AMK/ bishan area.

I think it's a bit hard to find a tuition centre that is fun and light hearten, cause there will be other students there who need stronger pushing. Try doing home tutor first? I kinda had the same problem with my DS but luckily the ex chinese tutor was flexible enough to cater. Eventually took HCL, so best to start slowly but surely without pushing too hard I guess

I don't hv experience with Busybees, so cannot offer any comments leh. Maybe some mum's can help give insight? I did noticed they had one centre at Sin Ming Plaza 2?years back when we started Acafemia there but don't rmbr if I see it last time I was there.

Now, 华艺学院 hv a centre at Sin Ming Plaza next to Shunfu mkt.

Any comments on Stalford Learning Centre’s HCL classes? Are they good?

Might want to consider Han Language at Katong 112. dd moved to Han from molin when she was sec 2 and her CL teacher commented that she saw an improvement in her HCL and asked if she is having tuition.

For Jiang, I guess the class size is too big.For busybee, I know its more for primary school especially for those who want to drill on composition.
