I have just brought my next year P2 girl for an eye check-up at the optical shop. Used to have her eye checked at Health Promotion Board but they tell me that from P2 onwards they do not perform the eye check-up anymore. We will need to have it done at the optical shops.

We were given 2 different prescriptions at 2 different optical shops which is very confusing. Some also recommended us Myo vision lenses which supposedly can slow down the increase in short-sightedness.

Can I seek your feedback on the Myo vision lenses if your kids are wearing them?

Many thanks.

Rgds,
Ming

I did ask the Brand's lady before. She was quite forthright, it doesn't improve their eyesight, but the hope is that eyesight will not deteriorate so fast.

For Brand's stuff, it's best if you join their Brand's world. During birthdays, there are usually special discounts and if you stock up enough, there are usually a lot of freebies. I usually buy my stash during DS birthday - enough to last about a year.

Trying means within my reach. Also asking maid to bring the kids to the playground now. better to let them run and play than to veg out in front of the tv.

Actually I think the best will be wolfberries (gou qi zi) - I grab some and dump into a cup, pour hot water over it and then let DS drink when it's cooler. He's resistant, else make him eat the wolfberries even better (a bit like raisins but not sweet).

hquek

Reply to Help needed - Feedback on Myo Vision lenses on Tue, 27 Dec 2011 00:16:10 GMT

Jennifer:

I believe the time the eyesight is tested also matters in the reading obtained.
