Our reunion will consists of my parents (as I am the only child) and my pils (as dh is the only son). We've been having reunion together for the last few years. Initial years, it was reunion lunch at my parents followed by reunion dinner at home but it's quite a strain to eat so much within the same day. Hence the restaurant...


So far we tried pu tien (which was rush rush) and also roland restaurant (which is like mass dining). In recent years, we went to Hai tien lo (when it was high up). We enjoyed the food and the view. We also tried Sichuan Douhua at UOB plaza and prima deli at the revolving tower. Any recommendations for other nice chinese restaurants with a view?

The Chinese restaurant at Mandarin Orchard? Went there last year and it wasn't bad. Or the one at oriental?

Every year, my family will gather at my pil's place for cny reunion dinner, but for this coming one, we will eat out. Less the trouble to prepare and clean.

Being FTWM, work will be half day, then rush home to finish off any left over hsework, then rush to bring food for my parents cos’ they are too old to cook then rush to MIL place for another makan. So reunion is always a mad rush.

Any recommendation for 2015 CNY reunion dinner? Which hotels or restaurants?

I'm doing my extended family reunion dinner at The Regent on the Saturday before CNY. I've not seen Lei Garden's menu so not sure. St Regis is expensive! :siam: I tried to get tables at Peach Garden @OCBC but they're having wedding dinner that night while Hai Tien Lo at Pan Pacific is full! :yikes:

We like those without two seatings in a night so can take out time to eat and yak... 😄 that kind of restricts us. Plus want to have room to ourselves.

the buying and cooking has taken a toil on mum…so we decided to eat out this year…not at a fancy restaurant where there is time limit. going to try out the place downstairs. I love the prawn paste chicken and yam ring.
