It was not bad. Not sure if they do take away.<br /><br /><br />The first time we had it was at roland restaurant (parkway area). Other than it had alot of "expensive" stuff, I don’t recall anything great about it. So when I tried it again at Putien, it was quite nice as in not overwhelming.</p>

For the past two years, I have been making my own "pen cai", own style, as in not traditional (at least I don’t think it’s original).  Ingredients are basically what I fancy putting in, like duck, roast pork, dried scallops, fish maw, dried mushrooms, abalone, fatt choy, white cabbage.</p>

He cooked pen cai. And according to him, there is no authentic pen cai in Singapore, especially so during CNY as corners are cut &amp; some ingredients replaced, so as to make it more economical and faster to cook. He said something about using Oyster Sauce, which is not part of the traditional recipe.</p>
