Childrenā€™s vineyard is a school that emphasised on love. Our goal is to love the children to come to us and in turn they learn by example to love others.

Character building is of utmost importance to us. Our small teacher - child ratio enable us to know our children well and customize learning to suit the group and their make up. Our aim is to ensure that every child will learn while having fun. We dedicate ourselves not only to prepare your children for primary school, but also to prepare them emotionally and socially to cope with the next stage of their adventure.

Our kindergarten programme is held four hours daily, from 8 am to 12 noon, Monday to Friday.

We intend to kick start our kindergarten, from 2012 Term 2, Monday 19th March to Friday 25th May.

I pulled out my child from the school last year and am really glad i did. The school teacher is always punishing my child to sit in the "thinking chair" as he couldnā€™t finish his work or "naughty". They deprive him playing time at the playground because he has to continue to sit on the "thinking chair" till he finish the work.

My child is a 3 year old and active. He was unhappy in Children Vineyard and didnā€™t want to go to school some days.

After i changed his school, he look forward to go to school everyday. His teachers treat him with respect and love. I am really glad i changed school as i contemplate for awhile till i saw chaueliā€™s last review. I realized i should trust my instinct and change school.

My elder child, who is currently in P1, was one of the firsts to be enrolled into the school when it was first established. He spent 4 wonderful years in the school and his sister is finishing hers this year. We are so sad that their preschool journey with Childrenā€™s Vineyard is coming to an end.


Here are some of the reasons why we do not mind driving a longer distance to get the kids to school though there are many kindergartens in our area:

- I like that the school uses the Montessori teaching syllabus i.e. children progress at their personal pace of learning and are not restricted to the standard level which they are in. A child could be learning phonics at a higher or lower level than his/her cohort. Many manipulative are also being used to help children understand what they are learning, rather than just depending on books and worksheets.

- The school also has a low staff turnover and this greatly helps in helping my ā€œslow to warm upā€ daughter adjust to the school environment.

- The class sizes are relatively small compared to many other kindergartens and child care centers I know.

- Last and most importantly, the principal and teachers manage the children with such dedication and have a genuine interest in the welfare of each child. There are lessons/discussions on Christian values as well as moral and civic education that to us, is crucial for children at this young age.

I do not have any personal relations with the schoolā€™s staff and am writing this to share our experience with parents as I know how difficult it is to find the right school for our children. Hope this helps!
