I have some extra funds put away in DBS http://www.dbs.com/sg/personal/deposit/foreign-currency-current-account/default.aspx. Given the violatility of the market, I wouldn't choose a long tenor. For starters, I would go with three months, and see how the Aussie dollar performs from there on.

Unlike other banks foreign currency deposit, this one requires only a minimum SGD2,000. The catch is interest rate not as high but allows me to have exposure to foreign currencies.


As for unit trust, do consider online platforms such as POEMS, DollarDex or Fundsupermart, etc
