SINGAPORE - The 2011 GCE A-level results were announced today at 2.30pm.

A total of 14,262 candidates sat the exam last year, of which 12,943 (90.8 per cent) scored at least three H2 passes, with a pass in General Paper (GP) or Knowledge and Inquiry (KI).

The number of percentage passes remained unchanged from the previous year.

Nine students achieved a perfect score of nine distinctions, The Straits Times reported.

Thank you for your encouragement. I'm just starting the journey with DD1 and there's two more after her. :faint: My DD1 asked me why there's a need for test and I answered it's to find out how much you know. Maybe not the best answer. πŸ˜‚

I have decided to breathe and take it one step at a time.

Hope you will still be active here 4 yrs later when I need help to source for resources. πŸ˜„

Yes, the name changes took place a few years ago. They're now called RI and HCI.

I expected that she would do well enough to get into a local uni... but there was little indication before this that she would pull in 8 distinctions. Her father was so happy that he covered my face with kisses yesterday morning and kept saying thank you. Such effusiveness is highly uncharacterisic of my husband.
