My maid overacted for simple headache and got admitted in NUH hospital…spent around 3500 SGD for 3 days to do all scans, blood test etc…,and finally when the doctor say have to do MRI scan, i begged the doctors that i cant afford to pay such an amount(we are from a normal middle class family).

I sent her to her hometown today…

Adding comedy to the whole drame…guess what… Upon discharge the NUH doctors gave the same panadol (which i gave to her before going to hospital).

I really want to blacklist the maid and agency which has been continuously cheating me… Any advise is appreciated

I’m very desperate to blacklist this maid, who cheated me…Am not able to go to work now, 'cos there is nobody to take care of my kids…Feeling very depressed and frustrated…

I was a very satisfied customer of Nation Human Resource Pte Ltd at Hougang Green Shopping Mall till very recently.

I hired a FDW in Nov18 based on biodata presented by Nation, which stated that the FDW had 3 years work experience taking care of young children and can do all round house work. This met my criteria, as I needed a FDW to take care of 2 of my children, aged 2 and 4, and do general housework. The FDW arrived in early Feb19, but asked to leave after barely 2 weeks, citing reason that she ‘cannot handle the young children’, she was ‘unhappy’, and she wanted to ‘change employer’. In fact, our family was away for 5 days during those 2 weeks she was with us, and we didn’t burden her with any babysitting or housework during those 5 days. Upon returning from our short trip, since she claimed that she ‘cannot handle the young children, we delegated the babysitting to another FDW and left her with just general housework to do. We tried to accommodate her work preferences, but all she wanted was to ‘go back to the agency’.

We were wondering if the FDW is homesick, but it turned out that she LIED about her work experience. She did not have experience doing proper housework nor taking care of young children (not her own). She came from the squatters and was not used to cleaning the house. She confessed to my other FDW that the Philippines agency told her to lie about her work experience. That’s probably the main reason why she asked to leave – she is not used to working at all. Nation failed to verify accuracy of this FDW’s biodata, which is not why I’m writing this feedback. What I cannot accept is that Nation did NOTHING to rectify the situation when I confronted them about this falsified biodata – no proper explanation was given, no assistance was rendered in getting a replacement FDW, no goodwill was extended in absorbing the additional costs due to their partner’s malpractice.

When I sent the FDW back to the agency, I was owed >$1000 unpaid loan from this FDW who did not serve her contract. Today, I was asked to pay for yet another $700 for a replacement FDW who is a candidate referred by myself. Not to mention the$15 per day lodging fee that I had to pay for the dishonest FDW till she finds her new employer.

I am utterly disappointed with Nation’s way of handling this matter. The FDW wouldn’t have been hired if she did not have the right experience that I was looking for. This fraudulent practice has caused me a great deal of monetary loss and inconvenience, all at my own expense. Nation is a reputable agency and this is definitely not the service level that I’d expected.

Having worked for my family after 8 months she said she wanted to go home. Her family pressure her to go back, her sister and her mom also etc. After persuading her to send back some money to make her family happy, she chose to stay on and thats when all the trouble start because she wanted to have a sim card which she is suppose to use only after work hours. As the november\\december 2018 school holidays drew nearer, she had almost 2 months of lower work load because we went overseas for 2 weeks and we were bringing the kids out of the home almost daily. After we came back from our holiday we noticed her attitude started to change. She didn't clean the house floor properly, didn't watch my boys as she used to and basically had poor attitude and black face. She was waking up late everyday and started spending alot of time in the toilet and that's when I got very suspicious. We offered to let her buy a brand new phone ( she was holding on to her old phone which she uses after she finished her work at night) but she said she did not want to as well.
Fast forward to 2019, she told us on the 7th Jan that her husband ( he wanted to divorce her but she did not agree to it) got into a car accident and passed away and requested for home leave. My husband kindly bought her a quick ticket back home but I was immediately suspicious of this liar of a maid. Is there a need to tell such a terrible lie ?

Her whatsapp profile picture even had a photo of my old camera that I had in my home, that we cannot find anymore. Also my jeans went missing a few weeks before that and she was not concerned at all about finding it. She even lied to my husband requesting for her return air ticket to be extended from the 11th to the 12th of Jan 2019 but we called back and spoke to her family as she refused to speak to us.

To any mommy or daddy looking for a new maid, be very careful should you bump into her biodata start floating around again. She worked for a total of 11 coming 12 months. Very unreliable, a big liar and totally uncaring about my children who were fond of her. Also dishonest and cannot be left alone in the house at all.

Its very disappointing for us as a family because she was a maid we treated fairly and well. She was generally quiet and kept to herself but this is the worse kind because she is very gullible and does not have moral values. Knowing full well that we were starting the school routine for both our kids in 2019, she lied to us and left us stranded. Be very careful when hiring younger maids as their work ethic is not the same as the older generation.

Oh my, this is a lot to take.. We were planning to get a younger maid because of less obligations. Thank you for sharing. May I ask what's her nationality? It's best to report her misdoings.

Mine just returned to Myanmar. She’s capable but the next employer will have to be prepared for manipulation, lies (a lot), damages (a lot a lot) to household stuff and revenge (when she gets corrected or when she doesn’t get her way). The most ridiculous was she pried open my Iphone and denied (unfortunately, she was caught on cctv).


While she was efficient throughout her term with us, there was quite a fair bit of mind games. It was hellish during the period when she insisted on going back.

Also, if MOM can easily blacklist maids, then they probably need to consider blacklisting employers as well cos maids can also complain a lot about the employers.... are we employers going to be blacklisted just cos our maid(s) dun like us? or just cos we changed maids a few times over a short span of time?
It is also difficult to trust the blacklist, especially if employers are the ones who do the blacklisting. How would we know if the maid was unfairly blacklisted due to vindictive employers, or if the maid was genuinely bad?

Haiz... This is the loops hole for maid lor. Couldn't understand why employer have to bear the hospitalization bills. If we are hospitalize, will our employer bear our bill? We have to pay ourselves using our medisave or medishield or our own insurance right? Sigz....

Maid was with me for just five months when she began stealing money. Also found hand phones, phone cards, wads of Indonesian currency amounting to at least IDR30 million and remittance receipts for about SGD6,000 in the name of another Indonesian maid in her possession. Suspect that she was an accomplice to the other maid who also stole from her employer.

Sent her back and also wrote to MOM. Unfortunately, received only standard reply. I can only warn prospective employers to be wary of her.

She was with me for 5mths only. And out of goodwill I let her return. But... she never did return at all. Then wrote me nasty emails to accused me of things we didn't do. Just emailed MOM and looking at the earlier post on the \"standard MOM reply\"... I think I will most probably get the same in a few days time 😞

We received a call from MOM officer once and they told us that the ex-employer of the maid whom we are employing has filed a complaint about the maid promising to return to work after her two weeeks home leave but failed to return.


We can still feedback. We can also approach Association of Employment Agencies Singapore (AEAS) if our agent is not helpful.

Beware of philipino maid. I just found out recently that maid from this country actually exchange notes about their employer and they form a group to advise fellow maid planning to look for new employer whether to work or not to work for a particular employer.

Avoid hiring the one with the name Divina JN (WP # 024860140). She was chit chating with neighbor maid when was supposed to be buying breakfast for our son. She took pictures and posted on facebook. We were informed by neighbor’s maid to search her on facebook. We found out from our new maid that Divina actually called her and told her about the situation in our house.
