I believe the athlete is the son, and the father the invalid. Read my original post - the son asked the father if he would run the marathon with him.

But whichever it is, the love and deep bond between the father and son is so touching and admirable...

Yes, this is really touching and one of my colleagues cried buckets when I forwarded the video to him!

But problem is he got the wrong impression (I think) so I just want to check with all of you here who watched the video:

Who is the FATHER and who is the SON?

Is the Father the athelete or is the Son the athelete? Or vice-versa, who is the invalid??

I personally thought the SON is the athelete and the FATHER the invalid.

But my colleague thought the opposite, that the Father is the athelete and the son is the invalid.

What do you think?

This afternoon we went to give our supports to the Dream Potters show about this young man who said hope to sing and make some money to give his parents. I didn’t expected much from his singing but i was thinking since all he wishes is to sing and have audiences, why not? But in return, I was touched by his efforts to learn these songs and sang so well. He suffered from Cerebral palsy(*dh said same as the son). Many old aunties was touched to tears. He’s so happy and postive thanking all who came. I don’t say too much cos it will be cast on tv.

I watched this clip few yrs back and still, find it touching… U can’t expect mommy to do marathon and triathlon with the kids right? I can’t be like him as already took a hell of efforts just for me to complete marathon on my own… But it will definitely be nice and motivating for my DS to jog next to me when doing a marathon.


I believe there are some areas that daddy can chip in, whereby mommy find it hard to share w kid… E.g. Exercise, and video games! I know mommy win in lots of areas when come to r/s w kids, but when comes to games like psp, xbox etc, daddy can establish a unique r/s w the kids, in term of language, strategy, char, story etc. I used that for bonding and understand my kids better. 😎

\"The Ironman is the most difficult triathlon ever (4 kms swimming,
