And to the north there is Malaysia, Thailand and Indochina. <br /><br />The worst case scenario of earthquake is a 9.0 earthquake in The Philippines, even so, there is a lot of land mass from the sea areas near Singapore that will greatly reduce any tsunami coming in from The Philippines.<br /><br />When the tsunami height gets reduced, the "tsunami" will reduce to just 50cm. The "tsunami" would already be just a splash coming up shore of Singapore.<br /><br />But anyway, the areas that will most probably be hit by a tsunami IF there is any would be the western regions (eg Boon Lay) and northeastern regions (eg Pulau Ubin)</p>

Otherwise, office workers are trapped inside. So far, there isn't any civil defence practice carried out on office buildings before, handling major disaster. At the very most, we only had small \"fire drill\" rehearsal. In this aspect, we are ill prepared ! The waves just gushed in. Anything and everything was swept away like a toy boat.
