The rest she can work forward or work backwards from there. Same with eg. 8 times table. Remember that 8 x 5 = 40 and 8 x 8 = 64. 9 x 5 = 45 and 9 x 9 = 81. Take all these as ''benchmarks''.

But ya .. the best is if she can memorize from everything. But to some kids, this is a challenge.

Hi,
My gal also memorize via recite. The hard way also ask them to recite on group everyday as well as writing down. Just go through with them start from 2 follow by 3 etc. For 5, I will tell the child that it is either have 5 or 0 in the last digit. It is quite challenge but child because they are resistant. So initially I let her do a alternate day first. Then follow by writing. It might sound a bit harsh...

Monster Mummy

Reply to Multiplication tables on Fri, 13 Apr 2012 06:54:54 GMT

Maybe can see how her school teacher can help her?
