My younger child brought home a caterpillar from school. She was told by her teacher to feed the caterpillar with leaves from lime plant and it turned into a beautiful butterfly after some time. My younger child was really happy! <br /><br /><br />Perhaps check with the teacher what leaves to feed the caterpillars with.</p>

The smell is probably from the poo and the secretion. Although I read that you’ll need to place a stick/branch for them to cling on, I realized none of mine do it on the branch… Usually they are at the base of my tank, so I stopped putting in the stick.</p>
