I am a full time private art tutor who teaching children for years. I am teaching in bilingual. (chinese or english)
In our lessons, we customized the art programme based on the age group of the students. To develop and stimulate the interest and creativity towards art, also allow them to gain confidence.
Currently, I am conducting online art lessons only due to the circuit breaker which recently announced by government.

My class size will be maximum 4 students only, and why?

1. Students will be more engaged

2. Teacher can respond immediately to student who has question during the class

3. Better learning environment with lesser students.

4. Learning is enhanced. Students can interact more with teacher.

5. Students have more opportunities to take part in the lesson activity, to gain their confidence too.

6. Teacher have more time to give individualized feedback.

Though my child was offered a place at NAFA KinderArt last year, I gave up the slot and chose to enrol my child with this Art teacher, Diana Leow. I would recommend Canberra,The Jelutung CC (walking distance from Sembawang MRT station) for children art class on Saturday afternoon. Diana Leow has a Diploma in Fine Art from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. She has been teaching Children's Art at various CCs since 1994. Diana Leow was also awarded the Best STARS Trainer Awards 2011 for Creativity & Innovation at the PA Trainers Symposium.

It is like tuition but more towards art tuition. The 1:1 ratio is good. Parents may want to consider this option.

My friend's child went there and she had a lot of fun! She's always looking forward to her weekly class.

My boys are attending their art lessons with Little designers @ Kovan. What i like abt the sch is their classes conducted in small grps and the teachers always explain to me and provide feedback on my kids work after end of each lesson. ๐Ÿ™‚
So far, they enjoy every lessons and they always look forward to the lessons. =p

She's 6 now. It was good. She learnt how to blend colours and the basic techniques of colouring, drawing and now they added a history of art lesson at the end of every month. But after 1.5 years, I find she didn't progress much and she's getting bored, been asking to stop it.

They have a proper curriculum. My dd with them since K2. She likes the class there and wants to continue even in Secondary School if she has time. They donโ€™t charge too much, donโ€™t do anything flashy to impress parents. Very down to earth and work on age-appropriate art fundamentals.

As the class go higher level, it gets nicer (students more serious) as only those who really love art will stay, making time for art even in PSLE year. Heard a lot quit after P4 due to subject banding in school. So their bloat is usually from kindy to lower primary. Long queue to get in but worth waiting.

Just let them try out for one month. ๐Ÿ™‚ the class ratio is 1 teacher to 4 kids (abt the same age) which i like as i believe teacher is able to guide and teach better in small grps. hope my kids will learn and enjoy the process. ๐Ÿ™‚

Previously they were at CC drawing class which has 20 kids of diff ages to 1 teacher...

Both schools are in the city area and the teacher to student ratio is good.


I found Art Zone to be really focused on the techniques of art, mainly drawing, painting, colouring. Getting the fundamentals like shapes, proportions, color blends, right.

Art Loft seems to do more in contrast because they use different materials and do sculpturing and stuff in addition to drawing and painting.
