The reason why the study mamas are not allowed to work is to enable the child to have proper emotional support and care and the best person to give is the parents themselves.<br />Just as for anyone of us here who intend to send our kids for overseas study, surely we will do our sums and find out the total costs and consider the affordability etc before we take the plunge right? One of my students wrote an essay praising her mum. She was about 15 years old when she came to study in a sec school. After a few months observing those study mamas around her, she was very thankful that her own mother refused to engage in similar activities and took on 2 jobs to support her. She worked so hard that she managed to get into express stream when promoted to sec 2 and scored 17 points for her O levels. I've another student whose parents are here with her.
