Anyone heard of this centre at Novena area? One of my friends recommended it for Math…sorry I thought it was Virtual math, it is actually Visible Math.

My DD attended Visible Math at Thomson branch last year when she was P4. My girl did not improve. I think it was because the tutor's judgement abt my girl's ability. When i checked their worksheets, those more challenging questions were skipped. The tutor explained that it was because the class' progression was slow and there was not enough time to proceed to more challenging questions; he said my girl belonged to the average ability group. After i switched her to another tuition centre that focus on Advance Math questions, my girl managed to score v good marks
Which advanced math tuition did you switch your daughter to?

I only know of the Advanced PSLE math tuition offered by Nicklebee math.

Is it convenient to share who are 2 of the trainers you are referring to? How much is their term fee? Thanks!

I just signed up my child at Visible Maths for 2015. It was recommended to me by a friend. I saw the materials and they were quite good. My child was with Learning Point Maths and English and he found it not relevant and I found the experienced teachers very old fashioned. So I had to change centre. I am quite happy with what I saw at Visible Maths so signed up.

I've just pulled my son out of Visible Math.

I think that enrichment centres are fine if your child is already doing well in the subject as they will provide more challenge.
But if your child is weak, then an enrichment centre may not be suitable.
My son's Math grades went steadily down so I pulled him out. This was after spending two terms in the centre.
Any idea what happened?
