Can actually taste the sausage. First burst of taste is usually the bean's flavour and then the subsequent undertones is all sweet lah.

Is there any time limit on how long you can spend in the Harry Potter Exhibition? How's the gift shop?

There is a timed entry, ours was stated 6.00 - 6.59pm. Actually, think can go in any time. We went for AW exhibition first, then went for early dinner before arriving at the HP exhibition at about 5.30pm. They still let us in. Took us about 1+ hours to go through all the exhibits - coz we wanted to read everything on display. But, those who just breeze in and out, can be done with in less than 30 minutes. :skeptical:

Merchandise at gift shop is expensive. We only bought the Choc Frogs and All Flavour Beans. Cost $6 each :yikes: :moneyflies: :moneyflies:

Decided to purchase the family portrait shot - with the Grand Hall complete with hanging candles in background to immortalise our visit. haha

When I was there, recalled that you mentioned about the HP world. Was it in Florida? Told myself that must try to go there one day and drink butter beer.

Are there sales of the Deatheaters' tattoo? My sister wanted to go too so we intend to make a trip just the two of us, her wearing Griffindor shawl and me Slytherine shawl and I wanted the tattoo. We are both in our late 30s!

We visited the exhibition last Saturday. My 7 yo dd is a huge HP fan and can reel off lines from the books and movies from memory. So we didn't need the audio tour.


Overall, she enjoyed it, but she did remark that it was a lot of costumes. She compared it to the Narnia exhibition, which had been set up in the open rink in MBS shopping center. Those exhibits included several 'creatures' from Narnia. Comparatively, she felt the HP one was mostly costumes, and all costumes without heads, which made them less realistic. (My dh remarked that the Narnia one was also much cheaper - only $5 per entry.)

ETA: Forgot to mention that there was only one interactive moment in the beginning, when they let my dd sit for a Sorting Hat ceremony. She thoroughly enjoyed that. They only did it for 2 people from our group; I am sure the other kids in the group may have wanted a chance too.

The wands, scarves and other stuff being sold at the shoppe were rather expensive. We took home the family photograph and some foodstuff (chocolate frogs and Every Flavour beans) instead.

At the height of the HP madness, some of my ex-collegues and I who were HP fans used to send owl mail to each other. Well, it's emails but we wd include an owl pic in the msg.


Used to refer to our demanding boss as \"the Dark Lord\" and \"He-who-should-not-be-named\". lol

My DS dying to visit too.. ..trying to talk him out of wearing his full HP costume for the exhibition before going.. ... :faint:

Read on yahoo recently that this girl was banned from entering a section in Disneyland as she was dressed like Tinkerbell. There's a rule in Disneyland that the theme park has the right to disallow any person who dresses like characters from Disneyland to enter as visitors might confuse them with the 'real' characters from the theme park.

Better check if there is a similar rule here - in any case, can standby own clothes if so.
