I'm heavily influenced by 一见钟情 as far as bags are concerned. Normally can tell within 5 mins of scanning the whole shop which bag I like

hubby mentions new ipad on my birthday or Christmas. my 2nd generation ipad lasted me for several years until it was really slow and could not upgrade anymore.


my lv ballade Idylle is my most precious bag because it cannot be used all the time. most of the time, I use the mcm backpack because I am hands-free.

It's not that you are not a woman...every woman has different interests. Some love shoes, lipsticks, cosmetics/facial related etc.
Before I bought my first pandora, I was also amazed with the strong pull of this costume jewelry...men were queuing to enter the store on eve of Valentine's Day! I've also seen guys standing at the counters alone, patiently choosing buying charms and bracelet for their other halves.

Women excited and happy about branded stuff are just like men crazy over their IT gadgets or cars. Unless my hubby is very sick, if I mention once about going to Apple Store or Singtel shop, he will jump up and pull me there straightaway.

My interest in bags developed through reading newspapers and other forms of media...not so much to do with peer pressure. I love bags but they have to match my personality and clothes. Daughter likes bags...could be because of me or her classmates...I don't indulge her as she is still very young. I believe in quality.

Hey I m just curious..how and when did you girls start to have the liking for branded stuffs yeah? Whenever I see ladies feeling so happy and excited holding and talking about the branded stuffs...I am always very very amazed de. I couldn't understand the strong attraction but what is bothering me really is why am I not like that :nailbite: ..sometimes I do suspect if I am a woman after all I do want to have this kind of excitement though :oops:

It took me 1 year to decide to go for the Neverfull Idylle. Maybe there was a cooling period of 1 year long, thus, I'm still loving it today.

My 1st branded bag was a LV , then few years back started to look into Prada and Chanel. Took me 2 to 3 years to finally decide to buy my 1st Chanel. The experience is unbelievable. And the satisfaction did continue to last for my Chanel . I actually feel happy each time I wear it and there's no diminishing marginal utility at all


Having said that,I am still very much attracted by the LVs, Guccis, Pradas as long as I feel they look good. Some people said once you own a Chanel/Hermes, you won't like the LV/Gucci/Prada anymore. Not true in my case.

My latest wish is a MCM haversack which I am holding back until I travel to Korea and buy at the best price possible. :evil:

I have no feel towards Hermes and hope I continue to feel this way.

I started with Gucci, Prada and Fendi bags and Chanel & Dior wallets. (SHOES: I also bought Ferragamo, Prada, Gucci 3-inch heels!)

One fine day, my mom gifted me 2 LVs and 1 Chanel when I was posted overseas.

Then, my DH bought me 2 more Chanels and 1 LV whenever he went to Paris. That's when I got seriously hooked and bought 3 more Chanels every Dec! :please: Therefore, I've 6 Chanels now. :yikes:

It's certainly reversible...I am now sick of Chanel and going back to Gucci, Prada. I don't like Birkin or Kelly as they are very heavy and too big. Price is way too high too!

Might consider Hermes' cheaper range and Gucci this yr, cos half my dept ladies carry Chanels. Need to be different!

I am also on the lookout of buying another bag. My colleague is heading to Italy so I may ask him to buy for me. The problem is I am still not sure what to buy.

Might have influenced my girls unintentionally. dd1uses a Burberry purse since p4 and her casual bags are Coach and Michael Kor. dd2 is using coach wristlet and Toscano. dd1 is not too particular about brand, whether Kiplings or Coach she equally rough with bags

dd2 enjoys shopping for handbags with me. She is so into it when browsing at Fendi, Kate Spade and Aigner, will give her opinion and even offered to help me carry my shopping bag right after purchase

They didn't use LV or Gucci though. Mine exclusively. Nearly bought a Burberry last month. Changed my mind because it is not full leather
