Im a new mummy joining this site. I have 2 kids, the elder one is a gal, coming 3 yrs old. The second one is a boy, will be turning 1 next month 😄

I love this site, coz it provides lotsa of useful information for parents like me. I like the P1 registration portion, gosh so stressful! hahaha

There iwas no response from school at all. When call to check with school, they said they have already existing Grroup of PV and will not normally take in PV.


I wonder if I join the Goodview garden RC, will they endorse me as executive member and give me a letter to acknowlege me as active grassroot s leader for school registration under phase 2B, so that I can register my kid under St Anthony

ST Athony fall under Hong Kah GRC, however Hong Kah GRC is so big, it is make up of 6 zones , Nanyang, Hong Kah North, Bukit gombak, Yee Tee, Kea Hong, choa chu kang.

I am wonder if one can joing any RC from any zone that is still belong to Hong Kah GRC and qualify as active grassroot leader and register their kid at St anthony

I am staying at Goodview too and my DD & niece are both in SAPS P1 this yr but I think different class with Mowmow's boys since her class dun have twins.
My boys are not twins (1st born in Jan02, 2nd in Dec02. He was too ks to wait till Jan 03, so came out 3 weeks earlier). They are also not in the same class in SAPS. And, yes, you're right, SAPS may relocate but still too early to tell. Hope it doesn't!

I was panicking when 40 out of the 60 plus seats have been taken up and my dd's name hasn't been called during the balloting process 🙏 . Really stressful, in my mind I regretted din join the RC :x which my BIL did and my niece registered in phase 2B. Thankfully luck on my side my dd's name was finally picked :celebrate: . Happier then strike 4D! Now I dun have to worry for my DS when it is his turn to register in 2010.

Having said all, I read in the forum that SAPS might relocate as they need another building in order to go single session. I was 🙏 that Swiss Cottage Sec relocate to make space instead 😛 If SAPS relocate too far away, I would probably register DS in Princess Elizabeth Pri where I am a former student but the only pain is got to travel.

If I remembered correctly, there were 120+ of us eyeing the around 60 places available for 2009. So it was like a 50/50% chance, but it was very stressful, esp, for me since I was trying to secure places for both my sons.

Actually both my sons were placed under 1 queue number. Dont worry, actually, I think all schools are the same as long as the teachers are patient and dedicated. So, take it easy!

Sometimes i think and think, what the heck, might as well enrol DD in a neighourhood school, coz ultimately all the students, irregardless of whether they are in good schools or lousy schools, will still take the same paper at the end of the day. This P1 registration is making all of us very nervous and kan cheong wor :x
but SAPS is really walking distance to your place! the convenience!
but really if phase 2B cannot get in, then really have to try out the luck...

Oh, so SAPS adopt the same style as Princess E, that is, they only allow existing parents to join their PSG. So sad! 😢

Then i got no other choice but to join RC already........alternatively, I could just try my luck in Phase 2C balloting..........
Oh yes, that was what I did, and lucky enough, got my sons in. But the balloting process is so....... stressful!

Hahaha, im not ex student of Bt Panjang primary, but i just feel that if i enrol my DD in a school that is in Bt Panjang, at least easier to get in lor.

My fren told me her fren entered a church just to get her DD into MGS. The fren joined the church for 6 months and after the pastor endorsed the cert, the fren disappeared from church liao, hahaha :lol:

Aiyah for us hor, there are only 4 options:
1) Become a church member (err..i heard for Catholic Church, must take exam)
2) Become a PV (seems like a difficult route)
3) Become a RC member (more time committment)
4) Ballot in Phase 2C (leave the fate to God liao)

Do call them, they do entertain enquiries on PV, the issue will be if they will accept given that they have a strong PSG; cross our fingers that they don't go Princess E's way of only allowing existing parents to be in the PSG.

Some one had already enquired from the school and was told to call back again - you can check the Bukit Batok Schools thread.

Given it is also a christian schools, i was wondering if i should be worried of different treatment (be it unintentional or intentional) to non-christian students.

Actually I got no other choice also, coz this is the only school that is within 1km from my house. Besides competiting with RC members and PV for Phase 2B, I still have to compete with those from the church as well. I think chances are very slim for me 😢
