<![CDATA[Parkway Parade Food Court in basement]]>Anybody knows why many of the stalls there are closed?


Twice I went there, I saw the chicken rice, duck rice, fish noodles/porridge and many other stalls were closed and some were opened only.

Are they boycotting due to rental increase or on June holidays like the kids? :?

I agree that now all businesses main concern is making $$$. However, even hawker centres are not as cheap as before. The hawker centres are also dirty, non aircon n the prices start at minimum $3.00 - S$3.50. Even drinks are the same price as foodcourts.

Eating out is very expensive. Best is to cook your own food. 😄

agree. We only eat out on weekends. the choices at 112 katong are better, at least they have the famous wanton noodles or the fishball noodles. Not cheap too but once a while ok.

U hv any idea which company is in charge of the foodcourt?

More effective to write to the company than to speak to the stall operators.

Like u hv said, for that prices paid, better quality n hygiene shld be practised.

Consumers shld speak up to the right people in order to get things done the right way.[/quote]

Its true, some of the food court I went also have these issues, usually I will use tissue to wipe off if not that obvious.

But again, if we pay that price, we would expect their hygiene to be tip top too.

These days, prices in food court are at the high end side. When they start revamping, prices go up too. In yrs to come, we wont get $3 a dish food in air con food court.

They are always slightly more highly priced than Kopitam Food Court.

101% agree. The fish soup there cost $5 and rice 70 cents. I can only find 5-6 slices inside, comparable to those that are selling at hawker centre but at $3.

And their bowls are not properly cleaned !! I had to ask to change 2x cos of some left over stains. (Mummies, if you are buying for your kids, please check properly their plates and bowls if you are taking extra from them)

Only on week days,now week ends also not crowded,unlike the last time
