Food’s ok. Excluding service, $12-15+ for burgers, pastas etc. 20+ for pizza. They don’t serve tap water. We got the annual pass too. 2A+2C is $80 per visit for Singaporean rate! We just need to make another couple more visits for the pass to pay for itself.

Not too crowded. Was there at about 4pm. Since it was still pretty hot, we went to the flower dome and the cloud forest first since they are air conditioned. Went for dinner at Casa Verde cos the rest of the eateries were pretty packed with queues forming and we do not fancy any fast food. After dinner, we watched the light display on the super trees and went up the skywalk. There was quite a queue to go on the skywalk but it was pretty cool up there. Took in the the night scenes, beautiful. We got the annual pass so will definitely be going back there with the kids.

Gardens by the Bay will be kick-starting a series of Kids Guided Conservatories Tours this September holidays for children aged 4-9 years.

Kids at the Conservatories is a series of guided conservatories tours specially curated for children between the ages of 4-9. Each tour is followed by an interactive activity that reinforces important lessons learnt during the tour.

Check out the following tours.

Tour 1: Talented Plants
What gives us the basic things we need to live, like oxygen, food and shelter? Plants of course! On this guided tour, children will explore the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest and learn how useful and important plants are to all living things. After the tour, children will try their hand at making something creative out of recycled materials.

Please bring along a clean, used 500ml (or less) plastic bottle for the craft activity.

Suitable for: 4 - 6 years olds

Tour 2: How Clever...
How would you survive a bush fire or being stuck for months without rain or water for miles? How can you protect yourself from being eaten by thirsty animals? On this guided tour, children will meet some very clever plants, and learn how they have adapted to thrive in harsh conditions. After the tour, children will try their hand at making something creative out of recycled materials.

Please bring along a clean, used 500ml (or less) plastic bottle for the craft activity.

Suitable for: 7 - 9 years olds


Dates: 1, 2, 4 & 6 September 2012

Time: 10.30am & 2.00pm

Duration: 1.5 hours

Fees: $18 per child (excludes conservatories ticket, at $12/per child)

Group size: 12 children (Tour will only run with a group size of 12 children)

What to prepare?
• Dress your child in comfortable clothes and covered walking shoes.

• Make sure your child has used the washroom before we go on the tour.

Children of up to 5 years of age may be accompanied by 1 parent/guardian if necessary. To facilitate the programme and for the enjoyment of all the children, accompanying parents/guardians will be allowed to follow the group, but not to participate in the programme. Admission charges into the conservatories apply.

Very convenient to take MRT. Just alight at BayFront station, out from Exit B, and once you come up with a short walk, the lake is right in front with the view of the super trees! Just cross the bridge and there you are at the garden.

Nice garden with plenty to explore, but did not go to the 2 conservatories cos Q is very long, will come back next time - and to check out the F & B there too.

Do remember to bring along camera as there are many places for photo opportunity.

One point to note is that the ladies toilet near the Chinese/Malay garden has only 2 cubicles inside, unless you go down to the one at the Super tree area.

Overall a nice place for family to relax and spent time at. 😂

For entry to open compound, Its free. For entry to dome, it's not free.
