Agent fee are quite expensive. Used to be $299, now becomes $599. Is it true that you can bypass the agency fee if you get a transfer maid and do some MOM paper work yourself? Anybody hired a transfer maid before w/o using an agent? (Or you found the maid yourself but just pay the agent for helping with the MOM paper work for transfer?)

You can save on the agency fee. First you need to download a form in MOM website. This form you will need the current employer to sign too. I cannot remember how i did it 2 years ago but it is quite simple procedure. All you need is to have singpass, the maid must have a valid passport with more than years validity.
