<![CDATA[Learn Chinese Daily - 每日一词语]]>For those interested in coaching your own children, I thought maybe I should start this thread to expand the Chinese vocabulary to learn in a fun way for real things around us. These words are definitely not MOE syllabus words but I think interesting words we should know and the children should know as well. Please feel free to contribute yours.

1 why 为什么（wei shen me ),- to ask the reasons ,very easy to use
:天为什么是蓝色？（original 天是蓝色）o r just use why. 为什么？
2 what 什么？（shenme—）
： 这是/那是什么(what is this /that? )

To me, 代替 is a verb(action), 替代 is a noun.

Anybody knows whether there are tutors who can teach adults chinese? Sorry I think this is off-topic but i am desperate to improve my chinese so I can at least help my kids at home, I find sending them to centres are not enough.

I am not sure what standard of Chinese you are trying to achieve, just spoken or written, reading and spoken and what is your starting level?

If you just want to converse with your children, watching Chinese drama is one good way to learn.
