There are 8 of us to manage so I have to make sure the health products work as they claim since I unfortunately live next to ECP. I used to have Novitas in the past (5 to be precise ranging from $300 to $900 in price range) and they have all failed me after I discovered IQair. In short, I have taken them off my list of trusted brands especially for my kids and parents. They do not have any respiratory illnesses just that we live next to a polluted source ECP.

One dead give away visually is when I check my aircon filter after 3 months or when your service maintenance is due. The trick is to take a tissue to wipe the bottom roller, not the netting. You will know what I mean.

To be sure, I have to measure it and bought a $160 EG AQI detector (US company through Amazon) to make sure IQair Pro 250 works in my bedroom before plonking another $1.9K for another one for my kids bedroom. All the AQI reading in Singapore are highly varied. I decided to take things to my own hands.

The results of the EG Air readings are below after turning on IQair Pro 250 for 10 minutes at fan speed 2 with windows/doors shut and aircon turned on.

PM 2.5= 0 ug/m3 (its zero!)
HCHO= 0.035 mg/m3 (Formadehyde from furnitures etc): Very Good range
TVOC 0.045 mg/m3 (Volatile Organic Compounds): Very Good range

So my long story short is this. You get what you paid for in air purification. I sleep better at night. I have a peace of mind from my EG AQI real time reading every single day. I take it to my car, office and random places just for fun to measure how polluted it is.

If you have vulnerable (young kids or elderly) at home, have respiratory illnesses and your are hitting the $1,000 price mark. You need to pay attention to details of what these brands are telling you. Don't buy into their marketing and check their fact sheets. CADR, air leakage from the sides of the filter from Novita filter design. I have nothing against Novita and I still use their air and water purifiers in my office after kicking all of them out of my house. I just have to use my Dyson air purifier together with it in my office.

All IQair are Swiss made like your Rolex and ship with a certificate of factory test before they ship to you. Swiss being Swiss.

The purpose of this post is for you guys to not go through my 'merry-go-round'. Its a lot of wasted of time and not to mention money!

To the best and all the best.

Reeves

Reeves

Reply to Any good Air Purifier to recommend? on Tue, 28 Aug 2018 03:46:30 GMT

For me, this is the reference: https://breathequality.com/best-air-purifiers/

I check my Blueair in 2 of this list: https://breathequality.com/best-large-room-air-purifiers/ and https://breathequality.com/best-air-purifiers-for-office/

brentpham

Reply to Any good Air Purifier to recommend? on Wed, 22 Aug 2018 06:02:04 GMT

I use this as a reference:

https://www.haze.gov.sg/resources/portable-air-cleaners

overclk2000

Reply to Any good Air Purifier to recommend? on Fri, 17 Aug 2018 11:41:23 GMT

http://www.ieqglobal.com/air-purification/emf-technology/

Mine a soho unit. That’s a fact!
Inspired by the principle of Mother Nature of water-washing, the Ritello mirrors the very essence of conservation and brings it into your home.
The Ritello is equipped with a water basin that tames dust, bad odors and germs. Once they’re in, they’re not going back out.
With the Ritello, clean is here to stay. So is healthy! While safeguarding your ambient air, it reduces airborne allergens such as dust mites, pollen and pet dander.

INSPIRED BY NATURE
Mother Nature uses water to trap dust, allergen and contaminants. Every 24 hours it washes itself by rain, snow, sleet and due to help us breathe fresh air; this works for the outside environment.

It’s a fact that Indoor Air Pollution is many times worse than the outdoors. For that purpose, the Ritello works on the same principles of Mother Nature by trapping all unwanted dust and dirt inside its water basin and returns back clean water-washed air inside your home.

For many years, people depended on the traditional vacuum cleaners to keep their indoor environment clean. Unfortunately, those “conventional vacuum cleaners” collect the dust and dirt in a porous bag. Although some companies claim that the pores of their ‘dirt-bags’ are super-micron, in fact they are still big enough for fine particles, bacteria and germs invisible to the naked eye to fly out of the back-end of the vacuum as soon as the unit is operated. Furthermore, after vacuuming for a short while these types of vacuum cleaners start to lose efficiency because the larger dirt start building up and clogging the pores of the bag, cutting off the airflow and weakening the vacuum’s power.

The Ritello system is different, it is inspired by ‘Mother Nature Concept’ using one of its most powerful elements ‘Water’ to trap all unwanted dust, dirt and contaminants inside its unique water basin. There are multiple advantages of using water inside the Ritello, you will enjoy clean water-washed air recirculating back inside your home, you will no longer have to worry about the vacuum bag pores clogging-up, nor losing any cleaning efficiency, because with your Ritello the cleaning suction and airflow will remain 100% at all times.
Ritello’s multiple cleaning functions are also a great help for Allergies and Asthma sufferers. It is recommended by Doctors and Allergists to use the Ritello to clean your home, deodorize and to sanitize your ambient air.

1. Using Water to Trap Dust
The Ritello works like Mother Nature but in reverse, it uses water, to trap dust, dirt and odors, returning only clean and fresh air to your premises.

2. A Programmable Screen
The unit is equipped with an LED Display Screen to facilitate its use. When on the go, you can simply set the timer for a minimum of 30 minutes or up to a maximum period of 120 minutes. Once the timer is set, the Ritello will start washing your indoor Air and will shut-off at the assigned time.

3. Dual Power
A Powerful Motor technology rotates at 27,000 revolutions per minute that offers double the force of any other system in its line. Dual Power means double the cleaning efficiency. The Ritello separator revolves at high speed to trap the dirt inside the water-basin; while only clean fresh air will return back into your home.

4. Speeds at your Fingertips
The Ritello offers 4 different motor speeds. To wash your Indoor Air select the first speed, then the Ritello will start cleaning your ambient air silently. Select the 2nd and 3rd speeds to clean your Drapes and Upholstery. For the deep-rooted sand select the 4th speed and connect the PowerBrush for best cleaning results.

5. Easy Connect
No more wire tangling, the new Ritello wands have built-in wires for an easy connection. To attach a tool simply twist it onto the wand and snap it on.

6. Pull-Pull Mechanism
A Cord Reel is embedded inside your Ritello to save you time and effort on winding or rewinding the Electric Cord.

7 & 8. Illuminates
Your Ritello & its related PowerBrush illuminate when power is activated. Lights inside the Ritello basin allows you to see the water action and the dirt trapping; while the PowerBrush LED headlights will ensure you do not miss a spot.

9. Height Adjustment
The unique height adjustment pedal offers 5 surface height settings. The PB-G4 series (power brush) height adjustment can accommodate virtually all carpet piles/densities/thicknesses.

THE RITELLO IS A TOTAL CLEANING SYSTEM

Air Purifier and Odor Eliminator
Recommended for people with Allergies and Breathing Problems
Uses Water to trap Dust and Dirt
Dual Power Motor
100% cleaning efficiency – No suction loss
No Vacuum Bags
Small in size
Eliminates Dust Mites
Ecological Friendly Product
Great product to clean and care about your pets
Certified as a Health related product
To learn more information about the Ritello System, Please contact us at: 91220579 email us at info@hchygiene.com
If you have a used vacuum or purifier, you can use that to trade in with us to get a further discount.

https://s26.postimg.org/lypgqynu1/21150105_10155135997433477_3853437886837788008_n.jpg\">

https://s26.postimg.org/vknml04dl/19388778_508969512779234_4677761604834235993_o.png\">

https://s26.postimg.org/wj3znahpl/19264632_508969522779233_3254308497402899962_o.jpg\">

Ritellosg

Reply to Any good Air Purifier to recommend? on Thu, 15 Dec 2016 05:26:48 GMT

We used a BlueAir Air Purifier when we stayed in Beijing, China for a couple of years. But I hope my advice was useful to some of you.

Honeywell is still a good proper and sensible brand I recommend. I bought one recently from Amazon in the states. They ship it here and it was cheaper than getting at the big electronics stores. However, you need a 230 to 110volt transformer with a decent power capacity as well. Cannot just get those tiny transformer and expect it to work. The power draw of the purifier is not super high but those tiny transformers also not powerful enough. Sure to get super hot and burn out.

Ok, I'll tweak my advice slightly after the recent jialat 2015 haze. for a home situation, you are probably ok with a mechanical filtration device like Honeywell, novita, Panasonic, etc. it does not need to be super duper effective with 99.999% removal of fine particles. Even those cheaply China ones you buy online or in budget electronics store will definitely filter something out of the polluted air. I even got intrigued and bought my in laws 2 units of the AirRazor fan system developed by an NTU professor. They did a decent job of filtering the air as well.

If you are running an operating theatre or computer wafer fabrication plant, then it is super critical that almost Zero particles make it into your facility. In that case, something like the Honeywell or another brand called IQair is good (IQair units cost about $2000+ for living room capacity rooms, good product but ex)

I still recommend Honeywell if you can afford the price but don't loose too much sleep or yell at your hubby for buying the wrong purifier

Ps: sorry to the guy asking about a vacuum cleaner/ air purifier. I'm not that knowledgable about that area. Not sure about the claims of the rainbow systems pulling dust out of the air as wonderful as they claim. Take note that whatever HEPA filtration some manufacturers claim might be referring to some small square HEPA filter that they put at the end of the machine just at the exhaust. Technically, got HEPA what! But really dunno the effectiveness of it. I'd still go with a purpose made air purifier to do air purifying and get a vacuum to do vacuuming!

alweek

Reply to Any good Air Purifier to recommend? on Thu, 22 Oct 2015 05:09:07 GMT

scang:

Sun_2010:
:?:

I have this Honeywell air purifier that runs on 110V 60Hz.
