Kids interpret pictures in various ways, sometimes its difficult to decide if the interpretation is accurate...

However, in those gray incidences, what definitely helps is the kid's ability to justify and explain why interpretation the picture in that particular manner. By doing so, it shows the examiner that you have thought through your interpretation and also showcases your oratorical skills at the same time. At the same time though, it might be useful to have kids learn that when it comes to race and ethnicity, if they are unsure about the ethnicity or right description of the traditional ethnic costume, don't commit! The kid might unwittingly offend the examiner.

AdvancedAcademia

Reply to 2012 PSLE English Oral on Sat, 18 Aug 2012 06:03:21 GMT

Mrs Ong:
Anyone knows what was the picture for the 2nd day Chinese Oral?

It was an old folks home.

Studious Alien

Reply to 2012 PSLE English Oral on Sat, 18 Aug 2012 04:13:07 GMT

Anyone knows what was the picture for the 2nd day Chinese Oral?

It is to prevent us from using ideas in the picture!!! We shouldn’t actually blame them instead of sulking that our efforts gone to waste. I am a student myself and I feel that the questions still have a relationship there but it is mostly unpredictable. No one can be a 100% sure what the questions are.

However hard it may be, we must still be prepared to change strategies in the crux of the situation and expose ourselves to a wide variety of topics.
