Unless the child is exceptional, I don't see the need to make assessment tests a routine. I feel spending time towards a balanced and well-rounded development at this young age is more crucial. Only if the child can pass the test(s) well, then they offer kid to take up their enrichment programme.<br /><br />example:-<br />============<br />i) <br />The \"Write Place\" at Jurong East request K1 kindergarten kids (5 years old) to take an assessment entry test. Only the better ones from the test results produced can enter into their K2 level English Writing programme. <br /><br />furthermore, parents need to pay a very expensive hefty fee, just to let their  <span style="\&quot;color:"> <b><b>K1</b></b> kids </span>take a <span style="\&quot;color:"><u><u> 1.5 hours English test </u></u></span>, to assess suitability entry into their K2 English enrichment programme(s), for only limited scarce vacancies. <br /> :yikes: In fact,  a long snake queue had already been formed for this! Minimal waiting period is at least half a year.
