<![CDATA[Little Mighty Me @ Punggol]]>This Childcare centre just opened near where I stay. Any parents enrolled your little one in there? Any feedback?

The principal is definitely not Grace and her husband, so I suppose the leadership has changed?


These are what I find really good at the centre:
- Security: Their system of taking a photo of the child each morning and evening with the person fetching the child and then sending the parents an email alert is really good.
- Meals: The breakfast is a mini buffet and the lunch portion is decent.
- Nap: The children don’t nap on mattresses so it saves the hassle of bringing mattress covers.
- Uniform: There’s only one type of uniform ie a T-shirt and shorts, so it’s less stuff to buy when the children grow bigger.
- Curriculum: My kid’s language skills were strengthened, and the art classes were enjoyable too. There’s also a weekly complimentary enrichment class for the kids, as well as interesting field trips.

As for the negatives, unfortunately I’ve noted a couple too:
- Teachers: While some of the teachers (such as Ms Poh and Teacher Shane) seem competent in their jobs, others lack initiative. For example, there were various times that I noticed kids looking a little lost, and teachers just ignore and continue with what they are doing. Maybe it’s part of trying to get the kids to be independent, but a little help for the really young ones would be nice. Some of these teachers don’t even say hi to the parents or avoid your gaze when you smile at them. They could be rather judging towards the children when they aren’t in a good mood, so it can feel a little unfriendly.
- Communications: Information could be passed onto parents via small notes in the school bag, whatsapps or email, which makes it confusing for the parents to track what’s going on.
- Disciplining of children: The teachers tend to get the children to sit against the wall when trying to get them organised. This is fine when it’s indoors, but I find it a little dirty to do so outdoors. The young ones are asked to take their shoes out from the shoe rack and lean against the obviously-not-very-clean HDB walls before sitting on the floor to wear their shoes, even though there’s proper wooden planks right front of their shoe racks that they could sit to wear their shoes, which is a little ironic.

I had sent my kid to other schools before and after LMM. I felt that while LMM has a good curriculum, it does not seem to have the passion and warmth that I felt in other schools. Perhaps I’m too sensitive, so I guess it’s best to head down to the centre to have a look for yourself 🙂

Overall we are pleased with the center. She learnt quite alot for the past few months she’s there. Been singing new songs and doing alots of art works.


The center is owned by Ethan and Grace who their two daughters are in the center too. Children are taught to be independent and Ethan/Grace embraced open communication with the parents.

The only downside is the high fees.

I'd like to find out why are you giving it a miss?

Understand CC in Punggol area are very in demand and alot of CC are fully occupied. I'm also still under waiting list after search around for CC for my son.

The fees are 1177per mthas listed on the mfs website.
Its quite easy to get an appointment to view the place, you may wanna go and take a look yourself and c if you are comfy with the curriculum and vibes.

I just called and they do have vacancy for my child, i haveyet to go down to see the place. I wonderif they are strong in academic curriculum cos from their websiteseems more of the learning through playing type, dun wanna have to fork out too much on enrichment later on for academic part as the cc fees already are on the high side.
