Dear Parents,


I am interested to find out if you would prefer (after PSLE, your child is allocated to a school- which is 1 of the 6 choices) :
1) stay in the allocated school which your child's PSLE results is the mean of the school OR
2) appeal ( and if successful :imcool: ) to a school with cutoff +5 points above your child's PSLE results.

Basically, I would like to find out the pros and cons of each and especially parents who had done so, can the child cope.

If the child is the cheong type … give him some stretch. Option 2
If the child gets demotivated by being in bottom of class … Option 1.

Consider other aspects: travelling time, culture of school etc

In a nutshell, child chances of being happy in the school should be the priority
