The same school as her brother, who has graduated in 2018. We like the school environment and the teachers. This is also speaking from our own personal experience.


As a parent, I have neither visited their toilet in the school nor tried the food in the canteen, I can’t comment about that.

shit school and shit teachers dont come here.

bad atmosphere, gender bias. nasty toilets and i cant stress this enough, biased teachers. if you want your child to enjoy school, dont come here, especially if theyre male. the toilets are complete dogwater.
at least the food is ok and the garden is meh.

Very thankful. The school is indeed good. She was in diamond class and she especially enjoyed the science experience. Initially, was difficult but after practising with of course, some external tutoring, and the wonderful materials set by the school teachers. She managed to do it well, she even received a certificate for best improvement in her p5. I’m not bragging but just saying Thank you. Overall, don’t under estimate a school considering it quite neighborhood. Thanks

And that is just, that.


I think, more importantly, how thay are going to develop their EQ and communications skills which would be more useful to them in the long run.

The school is a great learning environment to cope with a diversity of students from various background.

According to my son (P3 2015), the class name - 3 Emerald will change to 3 Excellence
I think as the new Principle is on board next year, the names of all classes are changing from next year onwards. My son now is in 5 Diamond will be changed to 6 Loyalty next year. The rational is not to let ppl compare with one another.

While motive is good, I'm not sure if this will negatively impact the kids to work hard for better class. My son has been working hard to maintain in Diamond since P3 while my daughter also trying to move to Diamond from 3 Amethyse this year, but look like these motivation are now becomes history.

Practise, practise and more practise is the way to go to avoid careless mistakes. I used to borrow previous year test/exam papers from some selfless parent of senior Lianhua pupil, practise before teacher handout previous year test/exam papers for class practise. This way, my child gained confidence.

Does Lianhua still maintain diamond and amethyst class to keep up healthy academic competition ? I hope so. I cannot thank Lianhua enough for the 6 nurturing years for my child. This coming Teacher's Day, a number of happy secondary one ex Lianhuarians will be visiting 🙂

Now it comes to the year end. We just received her record book. Now they will be changing the class names after the merging of the school. I am not sure what that means.

To answer your question, yes, the school still keep different classes as Diamond, Amethyst, Emerald....... My son is in 5 Diamond and my girl in 3 Amethyst. I really appreciate the teachers and staffs in Lianhua. They're very dedicated, hardworking and friendly.

My daughter has been enjoying the school. She seems to be very settled at school. She does meet some 'friends' who are 'not so nice' with their choice of words and behaviours. But overall, this does expose her with the necessary coping skills of how to 'live' with such students. Thankfully, the school does set certail degree of discipline to control unsociable behaviours.


I think as parents, we are very afraid of the children not making the academic achievements and placing too much emphasis on the subjects. Unnessary stress and pressure were imposed upon the kids and ourselves.

Meanwhile with the recent results coming out from her recent tests, I just hope that there can be some more effective ways that any unnecessary careless mistakes can be minimised. 😞
