Am looking at P1 registration for next year 2019. How's academic, teachers and environment there? I can apply for Phase 2A(1) next year as I'm old student there before, If not looking at River Valley Primary school which is quite famous, but have to wait till phase 2C. I see that GESPS generally still have vacancies in phase 2c. I am new to Singapore. May I know the reason for the drop in uptake compared to back in 2012?!

Does anybody know the average PSLE score in GESPS?

After reading thru all the pages, seems GESPS was a good neighbourhood school. As the school was just opposite my house, travelling was a matter to me. Initiately was thinking of Alexandra primary school but after considering the distance and travelling time, it seems not a good choice for me. Sending my girl to Alexandra primary school is ok, only after school we can take transport. Then again, time & money is a concern.

Oh, my girl is going to enrol P1 next yr. So GESPS & Alexandra Primary school is my consideration.

Can anyone tell me how was the school like now? As in academic & CCAs? Or as in overall? The principal & teachers? Are they caring or responsive to students & parents?

I’m a working mum so I won’t be able to reply quickly. In fact I might come across as being relatively inactive.

I have a girl in P3 this year. Have been very worried as she has been bringing back stories of bullying cases in the school. I’ve tried contacting the form teacher who has assured me that the school will handle all discipline cases with due diligence but my girl has been requesting for us to transfer her to another school.

I’m not too sure if there are such cases, or if she misses her teacher who left the school at the end of 2015. Her form teacher last year was really good in terms of teaching as well as managing the class. I understand from other parents last year that their children also liked the teacher very much.

At the same time, I would like to check if anyone is interested in getting group tuition for your children with the said teacher (mentioned above) as she has agreed to open a class for Math and Sci if we can gather more people…

Just wanted to find out if any of you have heard about bullying or discipline cases in the school.

I got an email reply from the Lower Primary HOD that their Learning Fiesta (Open House) will be held on the 28th May 2016 (Saturday). The event will run from 8.30am to 12 noon.

As far as I know, student care in most schools give priority to those from lower income households so spaces are usually quite difficult to get…
