Hi parents, sorry, not checking this too much.

My daughter is in P6 this year at Farrer Park Primary School. So, I come with a long experience in the school.

My daughter's experience in the school has been very good. She has made excellent friends, who she will have for life! She hasn't experienced any bullying, the school in fact has a strong anti-bullying programme at the school. The teachers are kind, very helpful and responsive.

They have a well established Drama CCA. Until before Covid, they had a drama performance outside the school once every two years. Very good performances. Their Tchoukball team is also great, they win medals quite often.

As far as PSLE achievements are concerned, students have gone on to good schools, they have students in RGS, SJI , NJC etc. They have had students with scores of 265 or so. But the scores are not the top of the pile for sure, not all students have such high sores. However, if the student is good, the school does help them.

For me, the scores were not the most important things. The student population is small. More opportunities for students. One student can have exposure to more than one activity at school, because it is a small school. I feel kids are more friendly as well. My daughter is a prefect, is in the drama cub, has participated in the outside drama performance and other competitions, was in the Wits and Words debate competitions, and scores well in class. These many activities may not have been possible if she was in another school I feel.

But beyond all this, she has had a great primary school experience and that is thanks to the school teachers, students and environment. Please don't hesitate sending your kids here.

I am thinking to enrol my SG50 son at Farrer Park Pri or Cedar Pri. Have check recent years on subscription, my son most likely will be in phase 2c registration in 2021 to start 2022 P1.
From the research it seems easier commuting to farrer park pri than cedar. Any parent could gives some advise?

I used to know someone who enrolled her kid in the now defunct Balestier Hill Primary, which was like that, a mini international school. Balestier Hill Pri wasn’t their 1st choice school but since they aren’t Singaporeans, they have no choice. After a few months, they called it a day and decided to return to their home country as the mum claimed that the boy was being bullied.

is it done end of P2 and end of P4, so that (P3 and P4) remain same class and (P5 and P6) same class ?

That’s three more than Stamford Primary. Which is better: Farrer Park or Stamford?
