I was a student from Meridian Primary some years ago. Currently in Dunman High and just finished my A levels. Not sure how much Meridian has changed over the years but I would like to share some of my views on the school. Meridian Primary is a not bad school. Not much programmes and enrichments compared to perhaps other not so neighborhood schools but generally nurturing. I have found out in my secondary school that many of my peers didn’t have the experience of celebrating international friendship day and racial harmony with carnivals and so much emphasis on the cultures and traditions of all races. And it is definitely rare to have so many students from so many nationalities in a neighborhood school like Meridian. There’s a lot of emphasis on moral values and character building(which aligned with my secondary school values too) which some primary school dont really place that much emphasis on. However, academic wise I would say the materials provided by the school was little compared to others. I have seen my tutees(I am providing tuition to primary school and kindergarten children) notes much more comprehensive than those given in meridian. Please feel free to ask any query you may have and I will try my best to assist!

I was told by a student that In Meridian Primary School , the Class of the Top 3 Class is different every years.
Eg: our time, 3A 3B & 3 C is the my primary school time of Top 3 Class.

So how am I get to know next years, which class is the Top 3 class? and where can I find out of the Top 3 Class each years.

They helped me a lot during primary 5 and I made an improvement from SA1 to SA2 and I am sure that during primary 6 , all the teachers will continue to help me in my primary 6 preparation. Our principal, Mr Lim and our vice principals are all very sporting. They organised many fun activities for the school. Example: Pyjamas Day where children can come in their pyjamas :rahrah: and you can see our principal wearing his pyjamas. Another example is Character Day. The children can dressed up as any character they like that they feel confident in or any outfit that they also feel comfortable in. :imcool: Our principal and vice principals and teachers were also dressed in many costumes. I saw the student care providing meals for the kids but I am not too sure about the guidance for homework. I believed they are asked to do their homework but not sure if there is any teacher to guide them. Hope this helps!

But I’m worry as my son is a very sly boy.


Also anyone have any idea, if the result for PSLE is not good, would the kids still get to go to Sec School , or they will be send to ITE instead. Worry for my Godson as his result was very bad. Out of 3 subject he only pass 1 which is science, as he have study problem, so he was not taking Chinese lesson.

So want to know whether is the result very very bad. Is it they will go ITE?

In the orientation handbook they have given all the instructions to be followed by the students and of course, by the parents!..hope my son will enjoy his new school and friends!

Do p5/ p6 teachers tend to drill & focus more attention only to the top few classes of pupils for Psle in this school, or

We checked with the school and there is no school bus to Bayshore and the bus company the school referred me to said they are not sure whether they will run a bus from Bayshore / Bedok to this school next year. The orientation is on Nov 13th or 14th so maybe those of us who need this school bus could gather separately to see if we have the critical mass to ask the bus company or not? Please email me separately.
