Personally I found 28% higher order questions in the paper.
Demanding questions: 2marks questions required more than 2 steps.
Too many Heuristics skills tested compared to PSLE. Namely work backwards, guess and check and model internal transfer. Not only too many were tested, these skills are repeated in various questions resulting in double penalizing students who cannot do them.

These has caused undue stress to my child and ourselves as parents. Coaching my child through his mistakes in this exam made me realized that they are not ready for these questions at Mid Year.

The school’s math exam is going against the grains of MOE direction. Eventually the students will lose their joy of learning.

I hope they can relook at their strategies and set a well balanced paper at the end of the year.

Any parents from Pei Ying felt the way for this exam?

Parents not allow to go in into the school. 930am parents allow to go to the canteen and stand behind barrier to see their kids eat and buy food with a senior buddy teaching em), 140pm fetch em at Gate 3. Its super crowded at Gate 3...

If you want appoint the School Bus transport, make sure that you are staying purely at Yishun area.. the Bus uncle said our area is not convenient.. therefore they not picking up the kids..just a saying. Please correct me if i wrong. Thanks..

i've been to two after-school daycare centres from primary 2-4 🙂 primary 2-3 at blk 812 and primary 4 at proteach. you can also ask me any questions hahah.

My Godchild is attending Peiying. Could you enlighten me if there is a difference between the classes, apart from the different names embodying different values?

Also, i tried looking at the CCAs list on the website. It looks conservative and there doesn't seem to be much that a student could sign up for. What is the quality of CCA training there when compared to other schools like... maybe Kuo Chuan PPS? How many CCAs can my kid sign up for?

What are your best memories about being at Peiying? What are your best memories of teachers there? What would you do differently there, looking back? What are some things you wish the school was able to offer you in terms of student development?

Was there an overseas trip? What did you gain from that trip and how do the kids who can't go, feel? I am keen to understand the social environment at Peiying to see how I can add more value to my Godchild as she journeys there.

Finally, did any of your schoolmates land in RGS or KCPSS or Chinese High?

From next year onwards, the P4 classes will be of mix ability. The top 3 kids in DD class are being distributed to three different P4 classes. So are the rest in her class. Teacher told them it’s a result of discussion among teachers. This is a change from previous years where P3 and P4 remain the same.
