It is good money with little risk for an easy procedure.

If one googles Singapore Abortion Centre or Singapore Abortion Clinic, results will show that numerous obgyn doctors purposely created web pages that feature abortion prominently and claiming their expertise in that area as if it was rocket science.

I once stumbled upon a JC student's blog who expressed the same outrage. I knew because as a teenager, I overheard a conversation between my mum and a relative who had done an abortion. She had 2 sons and financially her husband felt they could not afford to have another child.

She actually approached her sister-in-law, who is childless to adopt the child. Her sil did not reply her. So when she went for the counselling session, her mind or rather her husband had her made up her mind to abort the child. She just sat there and closed her eyes for the video to run its course.....

It is very sad, for years later the younger son had psychiatric problem and all these years she kept hearing baby cries at night. She sought medical help for him but there was no improvement. Finally she went to a medium who traced the root cause to her abortion. The \"aborted child' was \"raised\" and she said she was a girl, which this relative had wished for when the 2nd baby (her 2nd son) was conceived. She was questioned by the \"aborted child\" why she had aborted her.

Accordingly to the medium, the 2nd son's psychiatric problem was caused by this aborted child and she sought help too late, there was no turning back the clock......

Maybe she should have just gone ahead with the pregnancy and delivered the child. The child could be adopted by others rather than within the family...... when there is life there is hope and less regret!

MR06

Reply to Advertisement for abortion. My main complaint here is that

(1) the advertisement - doesn't this at least borderlines illegal? I mean, they don't even allow advertisements for lasik procedures - now they can only advertise for educational sessions (not the procedure)

(2) the content and language - ultimately it is always good for information to be available. This allows those desperate to seek out a solution that is legal and safe. However, the practitioner should be mindful that while, as a medical profession, doing such a procedure might just be something routine and unemotional, it does have social implication. Making it sound overly simple and easy is almost equivalent to saying that there is no consequence (to the patient) - emotional, social?

straffan23

Reply to Advertisement for abortion.
