Beside RV, Nan Hua, SST, NUShigh,Bukit Panjang Govt High. Which sec school is better in the west area. My DD is always the top 5 in her school but we are not choosing \"all Girls School\". Also worried that SST and NUSHigh are too strees although these 2 are her dream schools.<br /><br />Thinking about RV and Nanhua, but she don't like the Chinese culture and HMT. I really can't think about what others school which is near Jurong and which is at least Band 1 or Band 2. Although she got full marks for maths in her SA1 this time, also worried is she good enough or is just that the school had set a lower standard? Both are good schools then and now.  NJC is on par with Hwa Chung JC during my time, RJC was not in the top 2 then.  Over the year, I think NJC had dropped in ranking but is still top 5 JC in Singapore.  Hua Chung and raffle JC are now top 2.<br /><br />I am staying in cck (west) , and my DD finished psle last year, her choice then was<br />1. NYGH<br />2. NJC<br />3. SCGS<br />4. RVHS<br />5. Nan Hua<br />6. However, I don't think you have much risk of putting 1) HCI, 2) NJC, and 3) RVHS assuming you are fine with all three. RVHS COP will likely be below the other two so that choice order (3rd choice) wouldn't hurt you (assuming you got ballot out at HCI and NJC).<br /><br />It is also unclear how many 2nd choice people got in at NJC in the simulations. For IP girls, my understanding is that they have to take Full Literature as a subject in Sec 3-4.  SCGS IP also has English DSA and I believe the MOE Creative Arts Programme is targeted for students strong in the language.
