I have a quick glance and I find FuChun Sec seems not bad. It even allows its student do Pure Literature, which is not common in neighbourhood schools.

For Woodlands Sec sch, although its top student enters with a COP of 245, but it has the lowest median score.

Btw, personally I prefer schools to have more express classes. If the school has only 2 express class, I will not choose the school.

FUCHUN SECONDARY SCHOOL ; COP: 188 - 223; median 199
SEMBAWANG SECONDARY SCHOOL ; COP: 188 - 227; median 198
NORTH VIEW SECONDARY SCHOOL ; COP: 188 - 227; median 198
NORTHBROOKS SECONDARY SCHOOL ; COP: 188 - 232; median 198
NORTHLAND SECONDARY SCHOOL ; COP: 188 - 220; median 196
WOODLANDS SECONDARY SCHOOL ; COP: 188 - 245; median 196

If you don't mind AMK area, you can consider these 2 schools as well.
CHONG BOON SECONDARY SCHOOL ; COP: 188 - 220; median 203
YIO CHU KANG SECONDARY SCHOOL ; COP: 188 - 223; median 200

Hope the info are useful to you. If you're sure that he'll be able to handle the Os in 4 years, by all means, go for express. However, by going for express, it means that your choices for schools are pretty limited. Or, alternatively, if your ds works hard in Secondary 1, it is possible to promote to express. Tough, but not impossible. However, if you think that doing an extra year in Secondary School would be better (eg, more time to study, less stress etc.), go for NA.

Good luck

thebigapple
