Yes he bleeds on second day of our trip. Overall still consider ok as the bleed was not scary type. For awhile it stops!

Ja3

Reply to How to take care of child with bleeding nose in Cold Country on Wed, 26 Dec 2012 00:43:12 GMT

Ja3, did your child’s nose bleed during the trip?

I was in Europe last month. It can be used as often as required.

To stop nose bleeds or nose blockage, any decongestant nasal spray with Oxymetazoline hydrochloride 0.05% is suffice. its vasoconstricting properties, Oxymetazoline is used to treat nose bleed.

(A few popular brands you can consider, iliadin, Afrin, Vicks Sinex or Nasivin.)

However, it's not meant for long term use, use only when necessary, as it will cause rebound-congestion effect after continual 3x daily dose for 4 to 5 days.

Hope this helps.

Twinkies
