<![CDATA[Japan or Goldcoast suitable for young children?]]>im planning a trip next year either to tokyo or goldcoast. both will be F&E. my 2 kids 4yrs & 2.5yrs. which is more suitable for them? Just wondering will they be too young to travel?

I agree. No one knows for sure, even their own pp don't trust their govt's words at times. I am avoiding Japan for at least next 5 yrs though it is my top choice for holidays. JMO.

I would choose Gold Coast. We are going next week.


For Tokyo they will enjoy DisneyLand but there isn't much else that they will enjoy - I think it's somewhere to take them when they are a bit older and can appreciate the \"Japaneseness\" a bit more. You will miss out on a lot yourself with children so young.

If you want Disneyland - go to Hong Kong, it's closer & cheaper. Tokyo Disneyland is also quite Japanese.
Sorry. I don't quite agree. My family has been to both. Hong Kong Disneyland is small compared to Tokyo DisneyLand and DisneySea where they are located side by side. they are not as \"Japanese\" as mentioned.
If you buy the the 2-day or 3-day passes, you can decide which one you want to visit or both. If not enough to cover both sufficiently, you can simply top up the difference and visit again. You don't need to buy another 1-day pass that will cost much more.

There is also an Oceanarium a few train stations aways from Tokyo Disneyland. It worth a visit.

GC is not that cheap also, but maybe just slightly cheaper. Besides theme parks, perhaps GC has more to offer.......such as weekend markets, farm and farmstays, sightseeing in countryside, etc....

I am saying Tokyo has no other things to offer. Perhaps, you need to decide what is your priority and the time you have to go out of Tokyo for other activities.

Been to both with our young kids. In fact just came back from GC last month.

first wan travel at 7mth old but too blur to understand tokyo
n disney.
dan both to hk disney at 3yrs n 2yrs.
they will understand n be happy n excited
depending on gender if both boys dan goldcoast might be
better imo…gals needless princess at DL…
