<![CDATA[M1, Singtel or Starhub?]]>My 2 year contract just ended. I was thinking of getting a new Hp and also considering changing the service provider. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I can receive signals during much of the underground MRT journey.
The $10 for 50GB is too much for me. TPG has no lesser data and cheaper plan.
Yes, my daughter has this plan too. It works well. Initially we were skeptical so we stuck to the big 3.

I went down to their VivoCity branch and was told we must subsc to their fibre network in order to subsc to their tv.
Currently, in-laws’ place is contracted under M1 fibre broadband (Some years back MIL went to apply by herself, then informed us. Hence in-laws’ place fibre network was not Starhub, though they are subsc to StarHub cable tv.)
I then checked with Singtel and was told we could subsc to Singtel tv with M1 fibre broadband.
According to MIL, the next door neighbour had given up the StarHub subsc. I intend to check with the neighbour exactly her arrangement.

High chance we stop Starhub cable tv when it ceases next Jun 2019.

Their customer service is one of the best around and very friendly staff. Recently went to recontract and the staff informed me of the NTUC member promo which gives 10% off mobile bill, extra 1gb, roaming and free caller ID!!

SIgned up their mySIM Plan and after discount only $18 a month! very cheap!
what I like about M1 is the free calls with 3 other users.
customer service for M1 is really friendly.
we are all on mySim plan...had to upgrade to next level as mySim15 has been discontinued.
now enjoying 5gb data plan, so no worries about exceeding if I have to use WhatsApp to call or book Grab.

worse case, I switch to use data plan on mobile phone which has 5gb because after renewing mysim plan it’s $20…no longer $15.

M1 - 1Gbps @ $39/mth

I'm using M1 too and so far I don't have issue with it. If you don't mind slower speed, M1 also offers 500KB @ 29/month.

IMO,Starhub’s reception is not that good and when I used ST in the past,my bills are always quite expensive every month.Ther are times when I suspected that I was overcharged.

Could not connect to free wifi at the Frankfurt airport, or at the hotels.

You just turn on your wifi, join an available wifi and surf web, whatsapp, facebook, etc as per normal.

You only can't make normal phone call or sms without the SIM card.
I did leh, same manner like in Sg, dunno why did not work, only can use as camera 🤷
