As 90% of the kids’ teachers are female, I actually bought them Naraya pouches, etc… I personally it presentable and "cheap" as the Naraya products are known to be significantly cheaper in BKK.</p>

Previous years they were in another school and only half the class gave presents. New school students more passionate.<br />I made 2 trips and spent 2.5 hours selecting gifts, buy wrappers and another 1 hour to wrap. I left it to the kids. DD took some money out of her savings and bought some pen and made some cards for her teachers. I did not even know that DS gave his teachers something until he told me that he took a few notebooks that he got as gifts, wrote some messages for his teachers and gave it to them. His group in class also cobbled together a jumbo teacher’s day card for their teachers.</p>

We gave her a gift and she returned it stating that she is not allowed to accept. I was  :? as all the other teachers accepted except her. <br /><br /><br />But I respect her. I think she is a SAHM now. This was a teacher who cares for the kids. In fact, the principal of dd's dream school sort of look like this teacher so I am  :xedfingers: that she is a educator who feels for the students too. Sincerity, passion and heart is all that I am asking for from the teacher. On the day, teacher passed me back the photoframe and asked me to keep it and she only took the card.<br /><br />But I was too young to understand then.  I thought the teacher didn’t like the photoframe and I had felt embarrassed and disappointed.</p>

Think this overall make children unobligated to give which is good.  Some kids insists on bringing gifts on the day, so teacher put aside a box for kids to deposit the little presents in there.
