If maid is long timer, maybe not required. Sometimes the maid may have good reasons to bring all her money home (buy house etc) and may get disgruntled if employer try to hold their money. The maid agency got back to me too saying my helper will need a home leave cos she was under the ‘old rules’. I guess a trip down the Embassy is unavoidable.

My helper’s KTKLN card will only expire in June 2013. Does that mean she need not renew her card since she will be back in Singapore by February 2013? She told me she intend to continue another 2 years with us then go back Indonesia for good so does not want to go through the hassle of applying a new KTKLN card (plus don’t want to waste money).

I’m thinking should be the case too. Will ask the Embassy when I go down too.

Thank you once again. Appreciated!
