Did you do well in some subjects but had your score affected by other subjects? (E.g. Was your score badly affected by a very poor grade in a compulsory subject?) If so, there’s hope that you can improve if you take the subjects that you’re good at in MI or a JC.

3. Are you okay with studying and reading a lot? That’s what the ‘A’ levels require. If you’re a more hands-on person, I suggest you consider appealing to other poly courses?

Basically, it means that you would lose an option out of the 12 you have. If you don't qualify/was not selected for ANY of your 12 options, you would only be allowed to choose courses (from which you qualify aka poly) of which HAVE PLACES AFTER ALL OTHERS HAVE BEEN ADMITTED.

Given that you raw score is 27, I do not think you have much choices in poly either unless you failed a subject. L1R4 of 20 and above crosses out most poly courses too.

meinteel

Reply to i scored 27 for O's can i still appeal into a jc? urgent!! on Fri, 11 Jan 2013 17:51:00 GMT

Might not be advisable to appeal into a JC.

What are your subject grades?

The JC curriculum is going to be very demanding and require a lot of you foundations in O’s to be "there" before you can proceed to a higher level.

Also, CJC cut-off point is 10 points and some students with 12 or 13 points fail to get in via the appeal. However of course, it doesn’t hurt to actually just try.

Let’s say if one has 22 and with CCA bonus of -2, one would not be able to appeal to JC still as the min score can’t be a 20 pts net.

You may look at your L1R4 and if it’s <20, you hv a chance for MI.
